Terms of Employment: One Athletic Season – renewed annually. Salary to be
determined by Board/Corbett School District 39/Corbett Education
Association Contract Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College Degree Preferred
- 3 years High School Coaching Experience preferred.
- Any offer of employment made by Corbett School District is contingent upon satisfactory results of:

Essential Job Functions:
- Direct and supervise daily organized practice sessions during the regulated season.
- Work cooperatively with parents, other coaches, staff, officials, and support programs.
- Assist the Athletic Director in maintaining the care of athletic facilities and aid in the preparation of the facilities for athletic competition.
- Assist Athletic Director in purchasing equipment, supplies, and uniforms for the high school women’s basketball program.
- Assist Athletic Director in season planning/game scheduling.
- Conduct pre-season meetings with all athletes and parents, outlining schedules, student athletic contracts, and the Student Athletic Handbook.
- Work to improve skills and knowledge of each athlete and the team as a whole, taking into account, not only development of fundamentals, but also the mental skills associated with athletic performance and character development.
- Organize team members according to competitive levels.
- Enforce appropriate team rules and team discipline.
- Follow OSAA Guidelines and Principles of Sportsmanship.
- Adhere to requirements of athletic eligibility. Support student-athlete academic success by ensuring students are meeting the school district's academic progress expectations; provide and enforce appropriate interventions when there are signs of deficiencies.
- Adhere to the Athletic Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures of the current league and OSAA rules.
- Work harmoniously with program boosters, community members, volunteers, parents, and school personnel.
- Communicate effectively (both orally and written) with students, parents, officials, and staff.
- Submit rosters, equipment and uniform inventory.
- Monitor expenditures in relation to budget and monitor proper use, care, and return of uniforms and other assigned equipment.
- Supervise and/or arrange for proper supervision of student/athletes during practices, games, travel, and related activities.
- Coordinate end-of-year awards, communications, and events.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with members of the electronic, broadcast, and print media as related to assigned sport.
- Consult with Athletic Director and Administration concerning playing conditions, safety concerns, program improvements, player performance, outside complaints, and other related matters.
- Be instrumental in the development and work with youth feeder programs at the sub-varsity, middle school, and youth basketball levels.
Starting date TBD after Athletic Director's recommendation for hire and board confirmation. Completed hiring paperwork and medical, safety and coaching course trainings required.
